Miami Velvet Saturday vs Friday — which night is better?
We can only make it to Miami Velvet one night this weekend. Should we go Friday or Saturday? We're a couple in our late 30s, been in the lifestyle for about 2 years. Looking for a good crowd and energy.

Saturday, no question. Friday at Miami Velvet is a solid night with a good couples crowd, but Saturday is when the place truly comes alive. Expect 200-400 people on a good Saturday, the music is better, and the energy peaks around 1-2am. The crowd on Saturdays tends to be slightly younger and more dressed up.
That said, Friday has its advantages: smaller crowd means it's easier to meet people and have actual conversations. Less overwhelming for your first time. If you're looking to actually connect with specific couples, Friday might work better. If you want the full Miami nightclub-meets-lifestyle-club experience, Saturday is the move.

I actually prefer Fridays. The Saturday crowd at Velvet can get so big that it feels more like a nightclub than a lifestyle venue. On Fridays, you get the regulars — the couples who actually play vs. the ones who just come to party. Smaller crowd, but higher quality connections in my experience.
Go Saturday. Dress your absolute best — Miami people judge outfits harder than any other city. Ladies: heels, body-con dress or lingerie. Men: tailored pants, fitted button-down, leather shoes. Don't show up in khakis and boat shoes or you'll feel out of place.
