We've heard Miami's scene has a lot of international couples, especially from Latin America and Europe. Is this true? We speak Spanish and English and are looking for a diverse crowd.

Miami is probably the most internationally diverse lifestyle scene in the entire US. On any given Saturday at Miami Velvet, you'll hear Spanish, Portuguese, French, and English. A huge number of couples from Colombia, Venezuela, Brazil, and Argentina either live here or visit specifically for the lifestyle scene. European tourists from Spain, France, and Italy also hit the clubs when they're in town.

Speaking Spanish is a massive advantage. Easily half the crowd at Miami Velvet on a typical Saturday night is Latin, and being bilingual opens up conversations that monolingual couples miss out on. The vibe is passionate, high-energy, and people dress to the nines. Miami lifestyle culture has a distinctly Latin flair — think salsa music mixed with EDM, gorgeous outfits, and people who are very comfortable in their bodies.

Can confirm. We're from Bogota and Miami is our go-to US lifestyle destination specifically because of the Latin community. It feels like home. We've also met amazing couples from Mexico City, Sao Paulo, and Madrid at Miami Velvet. The international flavor makes Miami unlike any other US city for the lifestyle.

The diversity is real but it also depends on the night. Friday nights tend to skew more local/American, while Saturday nights bring out the international crowd. If you want the full multicultural experience, go on a Saturday and arrive after midnight.
